Mitchell MacLean “Mitch” is an accomplished lawyer specializing in corporate and commercial law. He began his legal journey as a summer student in 2019 at a top-tier law firm in Toronto, where he subsequently articled and launched his career. During his time there, Mitch developed a robust understanding of corporate and commercial law, advising on complex legal matters and honing his strategic skills. Mitch was called to the Bar in 2021, after receiving his J.D. from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law, where he earned several academic distinctions including the Stitt Feld Handy Fellowship for Africa, the A&B LLP Award for Academic Achievement, and the Insolvency Canada Award for Academic Excellence in Insolvency Studies. Prior to joining Pearsall Marshall LLP, Mitch worked at a top-tier law firm in Toronto, where he began as a summer student before articling and launching his legal career. During his time there, he gained significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, financings, corporate reorganizations, and commercial transactions, advising clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. Since joining Pearsall Marshall LLP, Mitchell has strengthened the firm’s corporate and commercial practice by bringing a fresh perspective and a strong foundation in complex transactional work. He has played a key role in advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, financings, reorganizations, and a variety of commercial transactions. Mitchell’s ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice has enhanced the firm’s reputation for delivering high-quality counsel.

Community Involvement

Mitch is committed to making a positive impact beyond his legal practice. He serves as a board member for Kuwala Christian Girls School, an independent boarding school in Malawi, Africa, dedicated to providing high-quality education to girls and empowering future leaders. In addition, Mitchell and his wife, Kaitlin, volunteer weekly with the middle school youth programs at their church in LaSalle, Ontario, where they mentor and support local youth. Mitchell is also an active advocate and fundraiser for Impact Romania, a mission that delivers essential services, workshops, and camps for orphans in Romania, frequently leading campaigns to support their initiatives.
